Cover Crop Plot

Signature Farms, members of Farmers of the Roche-A-Cri, will be planting a small research plot to study the effects of diversifying cover crops. The rotation of cover crops and duration on field will be used to evaluate the effects of pests, return, soil health, and other factors. This research plot will allow producers within the community to see the effects of diversifying cover crop practices. Producer under contract with canneries will also be able to share the results as a way to promote diversifying cover crop rotation and length.
