Stream Sampling
In partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Adams County Land & Water Conservation (L&W), Farmers of the Roche-A-Cri will be monitoring streams within the Big Roche-A-Cri Creek Watershed and Little Roche-A-Cri Creek Watershed. Seven different locations within the watersheds will be monitored once every month. Nitrogen and phosphorus samples, along with stream flow data, will be collected during each sampling event.
Results from the collected and analyzed water quality data, along with past data, will be shared with all stakeholders throughout the watersheds. The results from this research will help stakeholders identify areas of poor water quality which will increase the knowledge of where to implement conservation practices to increase the health of the watersheds.
